John Travolta channelled his inner Vincent Vega at a Cannes Film Festival party, joining 50 Cent on stage for a rendition of one of the rapper’s tracks.
The Pulp Fiction actor, who has danced on screen in films Grease and Saturday Night Fever, accompanied the hip-hop star as he performed “Just A Lil Bit” following the premiere of Travolta’s new film Gotti.
A video of the actor’s moves was initially posted to Instagram by Jeremy Bettis, an executive at 50 Cent’s record label. The rapper himself later posted a clip to his Twitter account with the caption: “Me and John Travolta partying – l swear l only came out here because of him.”
The crowd cheered along as the duo entertained with 50 Cent spitting lyrics including: “Rotate that thang, I wanna touch that thang when you make it go round and round” and “I ain’t playin’ I’m tryi’n to f*** tonight, you heard me? Clothes off, face down, a** up.”
Twitter obviously went into meltdown.
Travolta appears in Gotti as mobster John Gotti. In December 2016, it was pulled from release in the US a week before release, news of which came after a fraught development period lasting over two years which saw several actors – including Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Anthony Hopkins – attached to the lead role.
